Give Thanks

Trying my hand at some more of that distressing. I love using Tim Holtz distress inks.
They add so much to a card. Gives it a grungy, nostalgic feel.

Also enjoyed mixing different patterned papers for an eclectic look. I'm learning.

Used dp from My Mind's Eye Simply Delightful pad. Also used Spellbinders Lattice Shapeabilities Pendant and Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs Distressing Ink.

Free for All Friday

Love the tutorial Gina K. has on Stamp TV called drop shadow. Her end result was a beautiful card. I had to give it a try and when Cheri Weston made it the challenge for Friday, I was ready.

Drop Shadow Stamping

Used flower from Stampin Up Happy Harmony. Circle Stamp from Martha Stewart Clear Stamps Hearts and Flowers. Used CB Embossing folder. Word stamp from SU Sincere Salutations.

Time for Easter Card!

I found this gorgeous paper at Hobby Lobby. It's Paper Studio brand. The stamps are from Hobby Lobby also, in their Easter Crafts.

Sorry the scan does not show how wonderfully sparkly this whole card is.

Another Distressed Card

I am really feeling the distressing thing. Makes cards look better, more finished, I guess.

Used more paper form My Mind's Eye Simply Delightful. Also used the Gathered Twigs Distress ink from Tim Holtz. This distressing thing has opened up a whole new
area of card making for me.

Dino Baby

I was running out of baby cards and found this fantastic paper by Little Yellow Bicycle called Babysaurus. I just love this. The word stamp is from Katie and Company.

By the way, the paper is double-sided. The dinosaurs are on the front and the yellow stripes on the back. More bang for the buck!

Distressed Sympathy Card

Went to a card class at Scrappy K's in Winnsboro Tx. Learned to distress everything and to coordinate papers. Was really fun and I learned a lot. Scrappy K's has more papers than I have ever seen in one place. They have a lot of scrapbooking, card and technique classes. I know I will be making it to more of their classes.

This is my own attempt to duplicate some of the things I was taught.

I used dp from My Mind's Eye Simply Delightful paper pack. I also used Spellbinders fancy tags and Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I like the looks of this because it can be either male or female.

Sponged Flowers

I had to try the sponging technique again that I learned on Stamp TV. I really like how this turned out. But I must say that not all colors of ink go together. I have experimented with a few that I might throw away. This one was a keeper, though.

I used Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink. The flower is Close to My Heart Paris Floral Bud. This is one technique I will use again and again.

Sponging Technique

On Stamp TV, Gina K. has a new tutorial for sponging. Very easy to follow. Made this card using that technique. It was lots of fun! I like learning new techniques. It can make old stamps seem new again.  Used Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.

Stamp TV has a whole lot of tutorials. I have seen a lot of them. Gina K. gives you step by step instructions. They are really great! I recommend them to all of my stamping buddies. They are informative, whether you are new to stamping or even if you've had lots of experience.

Unusual Valentine

This is a different kind of Valentine, not the usual colors, but I like it!

Brenda Walton called Sweet Talk Sweet Treats. Tag is a K&Company tag.

Double Z-fold Valentine

Just had to make another one of those double z-fold cards, they are so easy to do. Of course, it being February, I had to make a Valentine. I used Spellbinders Scalloped Hearts and Cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder.
