Sneakers

This card would be good for a teenage boy or girl depending on the colors you used. I used Cricut Slumber Party cartridge. This is just a fun card.

Birthday Presents

Hi! Long time no see. I have decided to start blogging my creations again. I have never stopped creating because it's in my blood. I just haven't been posting.

I do a card class at a senior center called Prime Time. We made this birthday card using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridges and some scrap paper to make the presents.

Also, since it is nearly Father's day, I made a masculine card that looks like a shirt. This is a very versatile card. It could be used for anything-birthdays, get well, graduation, thinking of you also.
Here is the link to making the shirt

Dr. Who Birthday Card

One of my grandsons is a Dr. Who fanatic, so I decided to make him a Tardis Birthday card (those of you who love Dr. Who will know what I am talking about).

I have Close to My Heart Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge that happens to have a phone booth card on it. I just had to do a few things to customize it. I printed the saying with my computer.

I hope you like it as well as my grandson.

First card in a box

I have been looking at those Cards in a box on everyone's websites and on Pinterest for a year now, but I was hesitant to try and make one because they looked too complicated. Well, my New Year's resolution was to try new things concerning my card making and scrapbooking. So I decided to try one. Guess what? It's not that hard after all!

What I like about the Card in a Box is that you can make one to fit just about any occasion. So here is one of my first efforts.

I am sure as I learn more and get more experience, they will be more embellished, but I thought it wasn't bad for my first.

Polka Dot Create a Critter

Found this lovely Polka dot paper by Core'dinations and knew it would make great animals with my Cricut Create a Critter cartridge. Here are two samples.

Close To My Heart Holiday Cards

I have been playing around with my Close to My Heart products lately. It is getting close to Thanksgiving and Christmas so I have tried to get busy.

My first card is made with CTMH Very Merry Christmas acrylic stamp set. The card is a pre-printed card from The Paper Studio.

Next I used the Close to My Heart Artiste Cricut Cartridge to make the poinsettia. The cardstock is CTMH Pear and Partridge retired paper.

I used the new Close to My Heart acrylic stamp set Reason for the Season and Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Squares for the next card.

Next I made a Thanksgiving card using the CTMH acrylic stamp set Always Grateful and a Sizzix Leaves embossing folder.

Simple Christmas Tree

Some times the simplest things are the most beautiful. I love how this card turned out. The die is Sparkling Tree Tile from Memory Box. The sentiment is from Gina K Designs Merry Tree stamp duo. The blue paper is very sparkly, which doesn't show up well in the scan.

Christmas Comes Early Challenge

Over on Stamp TV http://stamptv.ning.com/, they are having a Christmas Comes Early Challenge. You just have to make a Christmas themed card using Gina K Stamps. I used Gina K's Stately Flowers 6 by Melanie Muenchinger.

Tag, you're it!

The gang over at the Mod Squad Challenge Blog http://modsquadchallenge.blogspot.com/ is having a tag challenge this week. You have to have a tag somewhere on your card. It's fun to join and you get to see everyone else's creativity.

For my card, I made a crème colored tag and used a Martha Stewart punch for the edge. Then I embossed it with the Dotted Swiss Cuttlebug embossing folder. The card base is from a Christmas set by Paper Studios. The stamp is called Christmas Joy by Justrite Stampers.

Water Challenge

Stamp TV at http://stamptv.ning.com/ is having a water challenge. You need to make a card with water pictured on it. If you use stamps by Gina K Designs you will be eligible for a wonderful prize. You ask how I know it's wonderful. I have won the prize before and you get all sorts of things, like inks, ribbons, stamps and papers. It's like Christmas!

For my entry uses Gina K Designs You Light Up My Life. I used chalks to make the clouds and waves. I have a cloud stencil which I of course used for the clouds, but I turned it upside down to make the waves.

Busy, Busy

I have been working on what I call a "mixed bag" of things. I received several new Cricut cartridges and I also received a request for several different Christmas cards. Here is a sampling of the things I have made.

The first card is made with one of my favorite Cricut cartridges Create a Critter. Love all the images on this cartridge.

Next, I love this Wintry scene. The deer is from the Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge. The background is from Bo Bunny Winter Woodland 6 x 6 paper pad.

On the next card, I tried the new woven card technique. It doesn't look too bad, but I think I did it
backwards, because the inside of the card looks better than the outside. I used Cricut Lacy Labels cartridge and printed the sentiment on the computer.

Lastly, I got this idea from Pinterest. The wreath was made using Spellbinders Circle and Scalloped Circle dies. The sentiment is a Paper Studio stamp.  This is simple but I like it.

More Christmas Cards

Trying to get a head start on Christmas before it starts snowballing. Used Close To My Hearts stamps for these.

The first one is using the CTMH set Christmas Village. It is hard to see all the glitter on the snow with the scan.

Next, I used CTMH Set To You and Yours. I just love this redbird. Looks so real.

Joy Christmas Card

Trying to get a head start on Christmas before I get overwhelmed. It will be here before we know it.
I used the retired paper pack Pear and Partridge from Close to My Heart. Love these papers. The joy is cut from the Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge. The sentiment is a stamp from Stamping Up but I don't know what set. Bought it by itself in a garage sale.

Cute Get Well card

I'm playing with my Cricut Create a Critter cartridge again. It is addictive. My daughter bought me a set of really colorful flat panel cards with bright envelopes from Home Goods called roobee by mara-mi. Had to add the card base and of course the duck and umbrella. Inside says, "Heard you were under the weather, Get well soon."

Fall Birthday

First, let me apologize for my long absence. I have been travelling quite a bit this summer, but I have missed posting my creations. I got to go to the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Tulsa and had a great time.

One of my favorite websites is Stamp TV. They are having a challenge to make a fall birthday card. Since my birthday is in September, it got my creative juices flowing. Here is my card. Also using this for the Mod Squad Fall Challenge at  http://modsquadchallenge.blogspot.com/

The tree and leaves are from the Gina K stamp set Sweet Friend. The sentiment is from an older Gina K set Lovely Labels.

Cricut Create a Critter

I have discovered the Cricut! I know some of you are thinking that I am behind the times, but we all have to go at our own pace. I have been blessed because I do not own the machine that has been at my house for the past 8 months. My friend says it's too big to keep at her house. So I have had the privilege of using it. Thanks Rae Jean Bolton!

Anyway, got this really cute Cricut cartridge called Create a Critter online really cheap. The images are adorable and the possibilities are limitless.

This is the hippopotamus image. I printed the sentiment on my computer. Sorry I don't know where I got the dp, its been in my stash forever.

This is the zebra image. The dp is from DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies stack. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart Wild Wonders. The sentiment frame is from Gina K Designs All Occasion Tags.

Hydrangea Get Well

Had to use my new American Crafts Chomatix Alcohol Ink markers. I found a set of  30 markers for $19.99 at Tuesday morning and they are wonderful. I have never been able to afford Copics but  I sure am enjoying my Chromatix markers.

The stamp is Hydrangea by Hero Arts.

Psychedelic Anniversary Card

I found some great bargains on paper at Tuesday morning. I got this paper called Feeling Groovy by We R Memory Keepers. It had great flowers and different sayings. I really like it. On this particular card, everything is cut out by hand except for the yellow mat.

I am entering this in the Mod Squad Blog Challenge http://modsquadchallenge.blogspot.com/
Go to the blog and enjoy the weekly challenges. It will get your creative juices flowing and besides,
there are some great prizes.

Tag Challenge

The Mod Squad is having a tag challenge. http://modsquadchallenge.blogspot.com/ You must use a tag anywhere on your card or project. I just love Melanie Muenchinger's Stately Flowers stamp sets she designed for Gina K. Designs. This poppy is from the Stately Flowers I set. You can see all of the Stately Flower sets and other Gina K. Stamps Sets on Stamp TV. http://stamptv.ning.com/

I also used the Spellbinders Frameabilities Scalloped Edge Frame.

Color Combo Challenge

The Mod Squad is having a color challenge. You must use bright spring colors in your card. I am still stuck on spring flowers. I used Stamping Up's Watercolor Trio for the flowers and sentiment. The cardstock and ribbon are also Stamping Up. This is a get well card that a friend wanted me to make for her.
