Jewel Tones

Using jewel tone colors in your cards and scrapbook pages is a new trend in the papercraft world. JustRite Inspirations is having a challenge to use their stamps and to make a card using the jewel tones. I used a deep purple with a bright lime green and a deep turquoise. I love this combination. My JustRite sentiment is from their Just A Note set. Paper elements are from Best Occasions Zen Quick Page Pack. I added turquoise jewels from The Paper Studio. I also used Spellbinders Fancy Tags 3.

Today I decided to use the Gina K Design Stamp Duo Very Merry. For my first I took a white pre-made card from Paper Studio. My designer paper is from Paper Pizazz's Coordinating Navy Papers. I didn't have a white tag, so I traced a tag onto white cardstock and cut it out and applied some more of the navy dp. I stamped the tree image from Merry tree in pastel ink and cut the tree out by hand. Then I turned it over because I wanted a white tree. I scattered clear adhesive gems on the tree. I glued the tree to the tag. I tied a silver bow with wrapping ribbon on the tag. I emboss the word Merry with Stampendous detail silver embossing powder and tied it around the bow and glued the tag to the card.

For my next card, I used the same set. I love this set! I took a pre-made card and then cut a smaller piece of white card stock and embossed it with the Cuttlebug Swirl embossing folder. I framed the piece with American Craft Gold Linen cardstock. I stamped the Merry Christmas with Stampendous detal Gold embossing powder, cut it out by hand into a rectangle and framed it with the same paper. I took the tree stamp, using Versamark, stamped it three times and embossed them with the Gold ep. I cut the trees out and glued them to the swirled panel. I used the same adhesive gems for the stars in the trees and to accent the Merry Christmas.

BLOG HOP WITH SEAN AND REGINA!

Just wanted to remind everyone.

All Dressed Up

Here is a scrapbook layout of my daughter and her family. They are in her brother-in-law's wedding. What a great picture of them all together. Side note: My youngest grand-daughter thought she and her brother got married at the ceremony, because they walked down the aisle together. She was the flower girl and he was the ring bearer.
