Winter Fun

My daughter and her husband have a company and they get their Christmas cards printed every year and I get the left overs to use. Yay! The base of my card is from their card. Card and Tag Set

I made this set of 4 cards and 4 tags to give to my daughter. The buildings and some of the snowflakes are from Marth Stewart's Gingerbread Stickers. I already had the white tags and I framed them in kraft cardstock. I also punch out some more snowflakes in kraft and shiny silver. I think the red jewels and red twine set these off beautifully. A lot of us have started to create our holiday cards. There are some amazing new stamp sets by Gina K. Designs that were released in October and we are sure to be inspired in the upcoming November release as well!

This month, we are honored that we are joined by Rebecca Oehlers, a Gina K. Designs Illustrator who has created some beautiful stamp sets for Gina K. Designs available in the Stamp TV Store!

The blog hop designers have been busy creating a card or cards that we hope will inspire you to create some beautiful Christmas and winter themed cards for your family and friends. Enjoy yourself as you hop along for the holidays!

OUR BLOG HOP SPONSOR!

Becky’s blog address is: http://hemidemisemiquaverdesignblog.com/.

Today I decided to use the Gina K Design Stamp Duo Very Merry. For my first I took a white pre-made card from Paper Studio. My designer paper is from Paper Pizazz's Coordinating Navy Papers. I didn't have a white tag, so I traced a tag onto white cardstock and cut it out and applied some more of the navy dp. I stamped the tree image from Merry tree in pastel ink and cut the tree out by hand. Then I turned it over because I wanted a white tree. I scattered clear adhesive gems on the tree. I glued the tree to the tag. I tied a silver bow with wrapping ribbon on the tag. I emboss the word Merry with Stampendous detail silver embossing powder and tied it around the bow and glued the tag to the card.

For my next card, I used the same set. I love this set! I took a pre-made card and then cut a smaller piece of white card stock and embossed it with the Cuttlebug Swirl embossing folder. I framed the piece with American Craft Gold Linen cardstock. I stamped the Merry Christmas with Stampendous detal Gold embossing powder, cut it out by hand into a rectangle and framed it with the same paper. I took the tree stamp, using Versamark, stamped it three times and embossed them with the Gold ep. I cut the trees out and glued them to the swirled panel. I used the same adhesive gems for the stars in the trees and to accent the Merry Christmas.

Don't forget to leave a comment and become a follower. If you follow the rules you will be eligible to win the grand prize of a Becky Oehlers stamp set for Gina K. Designs. At the end of the hop, a random winner will be chosen for the Blog Hop Grand Prize using comments and followers from each blog. We have decided to keep the hop open from Friday – Monday. We do this because some people that want to participate need more time to get through the entire hop. The deadline for leaving comments is Monday, November 19 at 8pm CST. The winner will be chosen and announced on Tuesday, November 20, 2012.

BLOG HOP WITH SEAN AND REGINA!

Just wanted to remind everyone.

All Dressed Up

Here is a scrapbook layout of my daughter and her family. They are in her brother-in-law's wedding. What a great picture of them all together. Side note: My youngest grand-daughter thought she and her brother got married at the ceremony, because they walked down the aisle together. She was the flower girl and he was the ring bearer.

Case the DT

Stamp TV is having another Case the Designer challenge. This time it is Free For All Friday and the designer is Tina Gilliland. She had so many cards to choose from. Here is the card I made for that challenge. Am also using this for Word Art Wednesday and Stamping Sisters In Christ.

For You

Kat had a challenge on Stamp TV to get you "spook on" but she said if you don't do halloween, you could use the same colors in a different card. I do not celebrate that as a holiday, so this is the card I made using Gina K stamps set Bold and Beautiful.

CAS Hearts

This card is for a challenge on Casual Fridays, which was to make a card with a heart. I am also going to enter it in the Stamp TV challenge Mix It Up Monday Pink, Love and Hope. My stickles on the hearts doesn't scan very well.

Distressed Christmas

A challenge on Stamp TV was to make a distressed Christmas card. I don't have any Gina K Christmas stamps yet, but she has generously given a digital Christmas image on the Stamp TV blog.

More Digital Stamps

I am still playing with free digital stamps. I especially like this one. It is hard to see the Stickles I used for accent. The inside has one of my favorite stamps. "Believe in the Lord, He believes in you." It's a stamp I've had for ten years from Effie Glitzfinger St. Louis Designs.

Glory to God

I am playing with free digital images today. There are a whole lot on the web if you just look. I think I got this image from Word Art Wednesday and I am going to enter this weeks challenge on their blog. Stamp TV also has a challenge on their blog to do a Christmas image with distressing. This is not a Gina K image so I won't be eligible for a prize, but if you use a Gina K image on your entry, you can win great prizes!

Floral Thinking of You

It always means a lot to me when I get a card that says thinking of you. Then I know I am in someone's thoughts and prayers. I also like to send thinking of you cards. This one is made with Stamping Up's Watercolor Trio. Sentiment is Hero Arts Dainty Thinking. I also used Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three. Will be sending this one to Word Art Wednesday.

Little Miss Sassy

I have shared many cards with you. I have been making cards for years and it is my passion. I have dabbled a little into scrapbooking, which doesn't come easy to me. I have made one and one half scrapbooks. Ha! I finished one and I started on another one two years ago and can't seem to finish. Anyway I've decided to try again. After all, I have three daughters and it wouldn't be fair just to give one of them a scrapbook. Here is a scrapbook page I did of my granddaughter.

I was really blessed this morning. My DH and I went to some garage sales and one of the ladies at one sales was a Stamping Up Consultant. I got 4 sets I have been wanting plus lots of card stock, dp and stickers plus three ribbon holders and dispensers and only spent $22.00. That's what I call a blessing. Here's the card I made. The two sets I used were Celebrate Everything and Watercolor Trio. Used Spellbinders Big Scalloped Rectangles and Background paper is from Close to my Heart.
