Mixing Different Designer Papers

I have seen a lot of people put different designer papers having the same color family in a project, so I thought I would experiment with some. Here's what I came up with.

Papers are from My Mind's Eye Simply Delightful Paper Pack.

Birthday Candles

Used a new stamp set from Stampendous called Birthday Brackets. Used yellow ribbon to set it off, which I believe it does quite well.

Pink Birthday

This is the last card for a while I am doing with the Colorbok Brights cardstock. I do love the colors and patterns.

Used McGill small daisy punch. Sentiment is from Stampendous Birthday Brackets.

Blue and White Daisies

I am still using the Colorbok Brights. It has so many bright papers and when I looked in my stash, I had several different buttons that matched some of the papers. I am partial to buttons like some people are partial to ribbons.

Used the small McGill daisy punch for the flowers. Used Doily Lace Edge punch from Martha Stewart. Inside says, "Keeping you in thoughts and prayers."

Daisy birthday

Got a Colorbok Brights Scrap pad. Has lots of bright colors in it. This was my first composition.

Used a McGill 2inch flower punch for the flowers. Very simple and very bright.

Owl/Tulip Card

Saw this on Pinterest. Someone used the Stamping Up Owl Punch to make a tulip card. I just had to try it out. Hope you like it.

Inked embossing folder

I saw this on a You tube video. I used a brayer and Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass distress ink on the Stamping up Elegant Bouquet embossing folder. I also used a die from Spellbinders Fleur de lis Motifs.

Owl Tri-Shutter Card

I said I was going to do a masculine tri-shutter card and of course, I had to use one of my owls.

I can't just do tri shutter cards, but I sure have enjoyed doing these. The branch die is from Sizzix.

Birthday Tri-Shutter Card

Still playing with the tri-shutter card. I just love this kind of card. So many possibilities.

Still using dp from My Mind's Eye Simply Delightful. Think I will try my hard at a masculine tri-shutter card next.

Tri-shutter card

Well, I finally did it. I have looked longingly at other people's tri-shutter cards and thought, someday I am going to make one of those. I was looking at Lady Bug Cards website and she had made quite a few of them so I decided to give it a whirl. I used the Tri-shutter card tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers. The directions are easy to follow and it also has a video with it.

Stamp TV Contest entries

Just wanted to add these two examples. Both were made for challenges on Stamp TV.

The first was for a man card and since it was nearly Father's Day and I live in Texas, this is my offering.

Next challenge was to make a wedding card since June is the traditional wedding month.

Used several Spellbinders dies on this and a Paper Studio Embossing Folder.

Thinking of you tag

I just needed some more thinking of you cards and I like the colors of this dp. Not sure where the paper is from. I had a scrap left from something my daughter wanted me to do a couple of years ago.
