Quilted Card

I had this Close to My Heart set for a while and haven't used it, so I thought I would today. I love the look of quilts. This set is really great and has all sorts of faux stitching with it too.

Birthday Card for a Hunter

I have been real busy lately and haven't posted much. Had a garage sale and made $680. I am also painting my bedroom and will lay down tile when I get through. Also I have been playing with my new Close To My Heart Cricut Cartridge called Artiste. It has 700 images on it!! I have got around to making everything yet but am trying.

This is a card my next door neighbor asked me to make for her husband's birthday. He is a hunter.

CTMH Cricut Artiste Cartridge

I have been playing with my new CTMH Cricut Artiste Cartridge and I am having a ball. I don't even own a Cricut, but a friend of my keeps hers here because she doesn't have room for it. So I decided to buy the Artiste cartridge from Close to My Heart. It has 700 images on it. You can make all sorts of cards, boxes, envelopes, sacks, etc. The list seems endless and it is so easy to use.

Also when you buy the cartridge for $99, you get three CTMH acrylic stamps sets that coordinate with the Artiste cartridge and you also get coordinating chip boards sets that match the cartridge and the stamp sets. Not only do you get a booklet that shows you how to cut, you also get a booklet that shows you how to assemble everything. There are also how to videos on the CTMH website and You tube.

I am a newbie and have never used a Cricut before and this has been so fun. Here's a couple of the things I made this week. I made a whole lot more and am not thru yet.

Top Note Critters

About a month ago, I went to a garage sale and got a Big Shot with a bunch of Sizzix dies for $35. Can't beat bargains like that! One of the dies was a Stamping Up Top Note Die. I have been having fun ever since. Ha!

I got the ideas for these projects from Pinterest and You Tube.

Two New Close To My Heart Cards

Got new goodies from Close To My Heart today. Had to Play!

The first one is using the CTMH Acrylic Stamp Set Remarkable Wreath. The sentiment is from CTMH Always Grateful.

 

 

The Next card was made using the new Laughing Lola Paper Pack. Love the colors. I also used the CTMH Acrylic Stamp Set Hooray Boquet.

Birdie Birthday

My next door neighbor wanted a card for her sister's birthday and she likes birds and birdhouses. This is what I made for her.

Used the Gina K Designs Sweet Friend Stamp Set.

More Christmas Cards

Some people must think I'm crazy, making Christmas cards in the middle of summer. But I have learned from experience that things get really hectic around Christmas and Thanksgiving and I always seem to run out of time, so I am doing it early this year.

The first card is made from a Hero Arts and Sizzix die cut combo called Holiday Cheer. First time I have used this product and I love it. Note that the snowflakes have blue stickles in the center. Hard to see on the scan.

 

 

Next I made another card using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Sorry I don't know the name of it. It is an older one and I borrowed it from a friend and I have looked on line and cannot find the name. The snowflakes are punched with a Martha Stewart punch out of silver glitter paper.

 

 

 

New CTMH Stamps

Got some new Close to My Heart Stamps and had to play. I just love there stamps. Their My Acrylix stamps are great. Unlike some acrylic stamps I have used, they stamp very well. They are really cute stamps and are reasonably priced.

The first stamp set I used is called Snowflakes. Love this set, and for those of you who have a Cricuit, Close to My Heart has exclusive Cricuit cartridges that have basic shapes and also has shapes corresponding to Close to My Heart stamp sets. In other words, if you have a Cricuit and the CTMH cartridge, you can cut these snow flakes out with your Cricuit. I do not have one, so I cut mine out by hand and it was pretty easy.

 

 

 

Next, I used the stamp called Bountiful Season, It is a part of the Close to My Heart Quick Card series, which consists of larger individual stamps that can be used by themselves to make cards quickly. The stamp is only $6.95.

My Favorite Close To My Heart Acrylic Stamp Set

My favorite Close To My Heart Acrylic stamp set is Just For You. I love the fact that you can stamp the flower onto patterned paper and make them any color you want. You can also stamp the flower petals individually with same color CTMH inks or you can make it look patchwork by using different color inks, what ever you can imagine. I also like the set because it is not only good for making cards, but you can use it on your scrapbook pages and make 3-D projects as well. Color Me Happy Challenge

The Heart 2 Heart Challenge Blog http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/ is having a Color Me Happy Challenge. New cards

Been at it again. Every time I receive new stuff from Close To My Heart, I have to play with it. I love their products. I made 2 Thank you cards.

The first one is made with a wonderful CTMH Stamp called Thanks. It is so elegant. I used two different CTMH inks on the stamp-Lagoon and Pear. The paper is from CTMH Later Sk8ter.

The next card is from the CTMH June Stamp of the Month set, A Flowering Bunch, which you can get for just $5 if you buy $50 worth of CTMH products. This is a very versatile set.

Birthday Cards

I got some new Close to My Heart Stamps, papers and inks. I just love, love, love them. The first card is made from the Buzz and Bumble Paper pack. I love this pack. You can only get it for 2 more months as it will not be included in the new catalogue in August. The stamp is called Bumble Bee. It is a collage type stamp and looks great stamped with there cocoa ink pad. It is only $6.95.

 

 

My next card is using the Pirouette Stamp. The background paper is from the Dream Pop Paper pack. I used the Buttercup and Orange Exclusive ink pads.
